1. Day01

   Arrive in Leh

   Arrive in Leh at 3,500 m. A complete day of rest to acclimatise, with an optional gentle evening walk to Leh market.

2. Day02

   Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa

   An easy day around Leh: the nine-storey Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa at sunset and the Hall of Fame museum.

3. Day03

   Sham Valley

   Drive to Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, returning via Alchi or Likir monastery.

4. Day04

   Over Khardung La to Nubra

   Cross Khardung La into Nubra Valley. Afternoon among the Hunder sand dunes, with an optional ride on a Bactrian camel.

5. Day05

   Nubra to Pangong Tso

   Follow the Shyok river to Pangong Tso and watch the lake change colour through the afternoon.

   Chang La and Thiksey

   Sunrise at the lake, then over Chang La back to Leh, stopping at Thiksey Monastery.
